💡 GLOSSARY OF GROWTH

Here’s a new section where I’ll define three terms in each of our verticals: tech/career, politics/social justice and mindset/self-development.

TECH — API: An API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of commands, functions, and protocols that allow different software applications to communicate and share data with each other.

SOCIAL JUSTICE — Crybullyism: Crybullyism refers to the behaviour of individuals who act as bullies by aggressing or dominating others yet portray themselves as the victims when confronted or challenged.

SELF-DEVELOPMENT — Orthogonal Network: Orthogonal networks refer to forming mentor-mentee relationships with individuals from various fields, enriching the learning experience with diverse perspectives and knowledge.

I have started using this method with my boss, and it helps a lot, especially if your boss is super busy and can’t respond right away. It’s from Vegan Tech Nomad, and her website has many great templates, some for free and some paid.

I just listened to this podcast episode featuring Christina Wallace, and I’m absolutely hooked on her philosophy. It was almost like she explained why I started learnshiv, with her approach toward what she calls a “portfolio life.” I highly recommend following her if, like me, you feel like you’re a “Venn diagram human” with varied interests, jobs and pursuits in life.
