🔑 Three key takeaways from the AI Boost Course!

Hey learners!

I recently completed a course titled AI Boost for Professional Communicators and Marketers, offered by The Upgrade and taught by Peter Bittner. This course took place over three 90-minute sessions and was $650 USD.

For those interested in diving deeper, I have a detailed report card on this post. For a discount on this course (or all of The Upgrade’s courses), use code: SHIVANI15 for 15% off.

*Note: I was invited to take and evaluate this course

🔑 Takeaway 1: Prompting is everything

The most striking revelation from this course was the undeniable importance of prompts in AI-generated content. Peter emphasized that the quality of AI output is directly influenced by the quality of our inputs.

Through the course, Peter provided a variety of prompt examples and templates for different marketing needs, from press releases to social media captions. I still use the templates all the time! These resources aren’t just a collection of templates but a foundation for developing the crucial skill of crafting effective prompts for GPTs.

As I learned, a well-constructed prompt can significantly reduce the time and effort needed to generate content outlines, and it really aids in overcoming the often daunting brainstorming phase.

🔑 Takeaway 2: AI is limited in image generation

Another key insight was the current limitations of AI in generating professional-quality images. Despite experimenting with various tools like Midjourney and DALL-E, it was clear that AI-generated images lack the authenticity and finesse required for professional use.

In my cohort, we played around with using AI tools to create images for blog posts, event flyers and social media carousels. It was super useful to take this time to experiment and get insights from fellow marketers.

The course highlighted the importance of recognizing AI's current capabilities and limitations, guiding us to make informed decisions about integrating AI into our visual content strategies.

🔑 Takeaway 3: TOFU Content needs to evolve

The course also sheds light on the evolving landscape of top-of-funnel (TOFU) content, driven by changes in how people search for information. Traditional search engine queries are giving way to direct inquiries through AI platforms like ChatGPT, altering the dynamics of driving awareness.

This shift necessitates a more interactive, specific, and dynamic approach to content creation. Incorporating multimedia elements and ensuring content offers more than just text can enhance engagement and ensure visibility. It’s essential that your TOFU content isn’t easily replicated by AI.

This insight is crucial for content marketers aiming to adapt their strategies to remain effective in a rapidly changing digital environment. As we move forward, the focus must shift towards creating content that truly resonates with our audience, with an emphasis on middle and bottom-of-funnel content that delivers exceptional value.

I don’t think I would’ve learned any of this in this much depth without this course. I can’t recommend it enough!

To all learnshiv subscribers, I highly recommend checking out the full report card and taking advantage of the exclusive discount (SHIVANI15) on this transformative course. The insights and skills gained are invaluable for anyone looking to navigate the complexities of digital communication in an AI-driven world.
