💡 LESSON LEARNED

I've learned that your brain believes what you tell it.

Here are three phrases I changed and started telling myself when I became increasingly frustrated doing interview after interview, assignment after assignment... and still not getting the job.

1️⃣ I'm so tired of interviewing 👉🏽 Interviewing a lot is really good practice! You're never nervous anymore, and that's because you are getting VERY good at this.

2️⃣ I don't want to do another assignment; that's time I'm not getting paid for! 👉🏽 Assignments are not only good practice; they become work samples! You can use them as demonstrations of your skills for future hiring managers.

3️⃣ This is never going to end 👉🏽 I know I'm not the only one going through this right now. If I stay positive, connect with other jobseekers and push through, I'll get the perfect role.

Reframing my thoughts this way helped me stay positive throughout the six months I was unemployed. I now strive to replace negative thoughts with positive ones.
